I had the most amazing, life changing Summer. I spent four months living in Leipzig, Germany. I went there to participate in the PILOTENKUECHE artist residency which was located in the Spinnerei ( a HUGE complex in an old converted industrial building that now houses galleries and studios.).
My residency was full of wonderful people and incredible artists from all over the world. Below are photos from our final residency exhibition, which we called SchöneSchnitzelNoise Don’t ask what that means, it made sense to us in our own nonsensical way! 🙂
Artists in my residency included the following people: Jan Potter (Germany), Anna Kiljunen (Finland), Tina Metschke (Germany), Siegfried Füreder (Austria) and Fellipe Vergani (Brazil)
Hi friends, I was so fortunate to be able to participate in the Pink Shoe Day Exhibition, curated by Maeshalle West-Davies.
8 female artists (including myself) whose lives have been affected by cancer come together to say it’s not only ok to talk about it, it’s important. 70,000 women in Germany are diagnosed with breast cancer each year. It is the only cancer that’s on the rise. It is in our power to change that.
Participating artists included:
candace goodrich (USA), lily koto olive (USA), yule franke (DE), charlotte eifler (DE), daniela grömke (DE), madeleine heublein (DE), christina nielsen-marsh (UK), maeshelle west-davies (USA/UK)
Hi friends! I am extremely excited to announce I will participate in an upcoming two-person exhibition entitled Subcutaneous here in Leipzig, Germany at The Museum with Finnish painter Anna Kiljunen. The opening is next Thursday, August 15th, from 8-11pm.
